The double postcard is an exciting, relatively new format that many
mailers use with great success. As the current postal rates are constructed, it is significantly cheaper than first-class.Envision each double postcard as four separate and distinct panels:
ADDRESSEE PANEL:
The side with the recipient's address.Easily personalized both in the address area and a message area next to it.
TOP PANEL:
This is the area above and on the sameside as the addressee panel. This isusually the "order" area, where the recipient's name is repeated. This portion would be detached from the lower section and returned.
REVERSE TOP PANEL:
This panel backs up on the Top Panelfrom the other side, and should containthe address portion coming back to you, preferably a business reply card. Ifyou are not looking for a mailed-in-response, this panel is available forselling space.
REVERSE BOTTOM PANEL:
This side is available for selling. With a first-class double postcard, the Post Office will auto-matically return, at no cost, any undeliverables and address changes.Make sure that when you use your own list, you print codes and/ornumbers on the labels so that you can clean up your list when thesenixies are returned.I like double postcards because they can be produced quickly, and you get results within a couple of days of mailing. For postage, average list rental and printing, expect to pay about $250 to $300 per thousand, as opposed to $350 to $500/M or more for otherdirect mail packages. Keep in mind that your choice of a double postcard must be appropriate for your offer. Saving money is not worth it if this format doesn't work.Browser Fixed
